He approached us and we expalined we were just looking and he happily left us to wander round and when we wanted to look inside some cars he unlocked them but again let us look in peace. We eventually decided to test drive a car and he as friendly and chatty about family etc in car rather than giving us a hard sell like other garages.
We got an extremely good part exchange deal and he really did negotiate with the owner of the garage to get us a fantastic deal. Car was MOT and serviced the day we put deposit down and ready to collect 2 days later. Paperwork was all ready and was the quickest and most efficient part exchange I've ever done!
Overall I can't recommend David enough he is a credit to the business and I truly believe he is one of the unique car sales People that want to genuinely help you as a customer!

I bought the vehicle and he informed me that it came with a warranty which I have had to make use of on 2 occasions, both times the fault was found and repaired with no quibbles. Michael RI bought my wife a car from Grays and I have to say that I do not normally enjoy the experience of looking and purchasing used cars. But dealing with Grays of Chatham was a totally pleasant and professional experience I have to say. Customer service was second to none. The sales guy applied no pressure in closing the deal, but he did go to the trouble of pointing out a small problem with the front grill, which most people wouldn't have even notices, subsequently replacing the part. The purchase did include a parts and labour warranty. after a week we did notice a leak in the radiator, and contacted Grays, the next day a car and trailer arrived at my office in Margate and a very polite young chap loaded my wife's car onto it to take all the way to Chatham 48 hours later the car is returned to my house in Broadstairs as good as new. I would highly recommend Grays of Chatham to anyone including my two son's who will both be in the market for a used car in the near future.

Michael YoungTHEY CAN BE TRUSTED WITH THE LITTLE THINGS. I went to Grays with a small problem (sidelight bulb not working). I arrived without an appointment a quarter of an hour before they officially opened. Despite this they were able to fit me in that morning, and did the job about an hour. It is at times like this that customers are a bit at the mercy of the car dealers. You have no idea what they will charge or how long they will take and feel obliged to pay whatever bill they present you with. In other words it is their choice to either show great customer service or to rip you off. Fortunately with Grays the bill was only £2 for the bulb and £10 for the labour + VAT, so they chose the former.
